Savigliano is an important hub in a road network linking Alba to Saluzzo, and Cuneo to Turin.
The Granbaita Hotel lies in a strategic position at the centre of Savigliano, thirty minutes from Turin, an hour from seaside and ski resorts, and no more than two hours from Milan, the Côte d'Azur and Monte Carlo.
The Hotel is just a few minutes from the central Piazza Santarosa, and a 15-minute drive from the mediaeval town of Saluzzo. Not far off either are the 19 th -century capital of the province, Cuneo, the imposing Acaja Castle in Fossano, the unmistakable skyline of Mondovì, the audacious architecture of Vicoforte Sanctuary, the castles of Racconigi and Manta, Staffarda Abbey and the Certosa di Pesio monastery.
Alba, home to the white truffle and capital of the great wine-growing region (Barolo, Barbaresco, etc.) taking in the gentle hills of the Langhe and the harsher slopes of the Roero, lies 20-30 minutes away, while the “elegant” town of Cherasco and its Golf Club are just 12 kilometres from the hotel. |
